On the product page for this battery it states:
"Canon LP-E5 - Camera battery Li-Ion 1080 mAh
by Canon"
The rating for this battery, "1080 mAh", is the same as for the genuine Canon LP-E5. For some reason, based on the product page text quoted above, I thought that I was buying a Canon battery. Silly me. The battery is branded "GT Max" model "CAMCANO18" and is made in China.
I have not yet used this battery, and probably will send it back regardless of its quality because I believe the product description to be intentionally misleading. I wanted a genuine Canon LP-E5.
I also ordered a battery charger from the same company. But based on what I believe to be a misrepresentation by Bargain Cell about the battery, I am not sure I trust the charger either.
I will update this review when or if I receive a reply from Bargain Cell or Amazon
